Business Emphasis

The Business Emphasis provides a way for IDS students to take a number of courses in the College of Business that provide basic knowledge about the forces and operations that govern and shape the character of business practice. The Business Emphasis is available to students who are pursuing a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in interdisciplinary studies in social science. To enroll in the business emphasis, students must meet with an interdisciplinary studies in social science advisor.      

Requirements for the Business Emphasis (12 credits)      

Complete four of the following courses:      

ACC 202  Principles of Management Accounting (3 credits)    

ACC 230  Survey of Accounting Concepts (3 credits)         

FI 320      Introduction to Finance (3 credits)         

GBL 323  Introduction to Business Law (3 credits)         

MGT 325 Management Skills and Processes (3 credits)

MKT 327  Introduction to Marketing (3 credits)
